I have been gone for a while due to severe morning sickness and other not so nice bits that can happen when one is pregnant. But at the moment I am back on my feet and drawing once again. It is cooler, darker, and the days are shorter, but my inspiration is running on high. Despite not really liking winter, I am in love with Christmas, and Hygge, and all things cute and cozy.
With Thanksgiving over, I can now (without a guilty conscious) focus on my Christmas obsession, and with that my yearly freebie, Dear Santa wish list.
The looming desire
Right after Halloween, I always get the urge to start decorating and thinking about Christmas. However, the sense of tradition prevents me from doing so.
You can download and print this wish list out here. The (now) tradition of creating a Santa wish list started because of my kids. Since living in Germany we have attached the wish list with Nikolaus. On December 6th my littles (really not so little now) put their boots outside and in their boot, they leave their wish list. Ever since I got my Ipad, I have been enjoying creating Christmas illustrations, and coloring pages for them. Since last year I have offered them to you. After all this is the season of sharing joy, and I do hope your child enjoys this wish list as much as I enjoyed creating it.
I have also created several Linocuts that will be up for sale. They are all Winter themes, and they vary in size.

The Joy of Lino
I only began creating linocuts this year, however I have always been attracted to their rustic folky style, the intricate lines and the effect the printing creates on a page. After buying better tools I was able to create more detailed creations, and this winter after feleing better healthwise, I created several Christmas/winter pieces. Above you can see my Bear Moon print.
Only with time
At the moment, I am only offering Linocut Christmas cards.
In order to create quality prints of my larger linocuts, I need to have an actual printing press. And with that I need funds. So, in the future, I will be offering prints of my A5 and A4 linocuts.
Inspiration through the Grey
Ever since I have moved to Germany, Winter has never been my favorite season. I need colors, the Sun, and warmth. I get too cold and miserable when I feel the wind hit my face, and my eyes get lost within the layers and layers of grey. However, I try to focus on the beauty of the grey. It is during this season that I can pull out my sheep skins and drink hot chocolates while lighting candles and listening to acoustic winter playlists on Spotify. There are wonders in the winter, and especially in the time before Christmas.
